APPA ACHIEVEMENTS - WHO CAN RECIEVE POINTS?

Accredited Full Members of AIPP can bank points towards further achievements within the Institute.  There are four types of achievements you can achieve and they follow on from each other consecutively from Associate to Master of Photography through to Grand Master of Photography. You will be allowed to display the below letters after your name and receive a ribbon to wear at future AIPP events and awards.

TIME FRAMES FOR EARNING POINTS TOWARDS ACHIEVEMENTS
If you do not achieve the required points for any given achievement within the stipulated time period you will lose the earliest year of points.
Associate: Must be achieved within 4 consecutive year
Master of Photography: Must be achieved within 5 consecutive year
Master of Photography Gold Bars: Must be achieved within 5 consecutive years

For example:
For four years from 2009  – 2012 you achieved only 4 points towards your Associateship. In 2013, the points you earned from 2009 will be dropped from your tally towards Associateship and the points between 2010 – 2013 will be tallied towards your achievement.

LEFT OVER POINTS FROM ACHIEVEMENTS
If you achieve your Associateship or Master of Photography within the given period and you still have points left over from the tally they will be used towards your next achievement.
For example:
Within 4 years you were awarded 8 points towards your Associateship.
5 of these will be used towards your Associateship. The remaining 3 will be used in your tally towards Master of Photography.

RULE FOR USE OF HALF POINTS
It is also worth noting that you can only use 4 half points towards your Associateship. Any further half points received are not able to be used and half points are not applicable for Master and Grand Master of Photography.
